The One When Her Call Came

It's Tuesday and I knew there was a possibility that her call would come today. I had kind of convinced myself it wouldn't because I didn't want to be disappointed. Taylen is still in Zimbabwe with her HEFY group and she won't know until she gets back into the states on July 2nd! I decided to take the girls to St. George for a couple of days and we had some of our dear friends come with us, Mandi and Avery Wall. Mandi asked me first thing this morning if she should have her husband Dave check to see if her call had come and I told her to wait until later that afternoon. I wanted there to be enough time in the day for it to come. We were driving home from Sand Hollow and I decided to text him to see if it had come, and sure enough, it had!! We all screamed and started making our guesses of where she will be called. I know she will be called to the place where the Lord needs her and that's the most importnat thing. Although my stomach is in knots and because of the situation, everyone will be tortured to wait much longer than her, I am so excited and can't wait till Friday and to see my girl again!

The One Where We Wait

Taylen's papers were officially tuned in on June 14th, and it was a whirlwind to say the least! She got her mission portal opened on a Sunday, finished the paperwork part THAT DAY and then she made appointments with a doctor and dentist for 4 days after that. We went to Mexico for a quick family vacation and then when we got home she met with Bishop Lowry and then a few days later with President Webb and then CLICK they were submitted! She left for Zimbabwe on her HEFY trip the day after they were submitted with the assumption that she will get it while she is gone. She doesn't have a phone while she is gone, so she won't know until she touches down in JFK on July 2nd. I had high hopes that she would get her call today, but I don't think it came. IF her call comes while she is gone, we plan to have a call opening party on July 2nd at 8 pm. I reserved a soft serve ice cream machine hoping that it will come, but now we wait.....
